The World Lost A Brilliant Man Today

My mentor and the man who has provided me with more inspiration than words can possibly describe passed away today.  At the age of 84, Vidal Sassoon passed away at his home in Los Angeles with his family by his side.  Famous for his geomteric Mary Quant bob cut, he truly changed the world of hair and single handledy revolutionized an entire industry.

Vidal had a remarkable impact on my career as a hair stylist and even more so, on the person I am today.  His famous quote, which I had tattooed on my shoulder, was something that I repeated to myself a 1000 times over during the decision making process to open Soho.  "If you don't do it, somebody else will".

RIP Vidal.  A little bit of my soul went with you today and I will be forever grateful for your guiding light.

Carole,
avec un peu de retard j’ai découvert ta passion pour la coiffure et malheureusement je vois que ton mentor est disparu. Tu lui as rendu un touchant hommage. 22 années se sont écoulées depuis qu’on s’est vu!!! Salutations à ta famille et amis de Brosseau School.
Ton ancien prof de 6-7e qui ne vous a pas oublié!
