This past Thanksgiving weekend Greg and I flew to Vernon, BC to spend time with his family and celebrate his 91 yr old Grandmothers birthday.  Although it was awfully disappointing that Greg had to spend the entire weekend in bed with bronchitis and a fever, it felt so good to relax for three full days with family and the newly released Vidal Sassoon Autobiography.

I had pre-ordered the book almost a month ago on Amazon and just about jumped through the roof with excitement when Greg told me it arrived on Friday afternoon just in time for our trip.  As we were boarding the plane, all I could think about was buckling up my seat belt and diving into my new book that I had been anxiously waiting for. 

As we prepared for take off, Greg checked his iPhone one last time and couldn’t believe his eyes at the email that had just rolled in.  Adriana Sassoon, wife of Elan Sassoon (Sojourn Creator) and daughter in-law of the legend himself, Vidal Sassoon had just left a comment on one of my Soho blog posts! 

    “Great article Carole.  Thank you.”  Adriana Sassoon

Not only did she leave a comment on my Sojourn blog post but she also twittered the blog and re-posted my entire post on her blog.  

The whole Soho journey has been so much fun and a ton of hard work but I can’t help but to feel that my dreams are becoming reality.  Now that I’m only 2 degrees removed from my idol Vidal, I’m hoping the stars will align and I will some how get the chance to meet him when I take my course in February at the Vidal Sassoon Masters Academy in London, England.
